E121 | Elliot Gleave
Episode summary | Elliot Gleave
Elliot Gleave is best known by his stage name – Example – and is a musical artist, producer, writer, and rapper, who has been leading the way in the music industry for the last 16 years.
Example is a genuine worldwide superstar with a myriad of top 20 hits and a couple of number ones under his belt. He has been a voice for multiple generations, bridging the gaps between electronic, rap, and pop, with his chart-topping singles, sell-out tours, and multiple platinum records.
But despite his global success, Australian-based Elliot comes across as an ordinary bloke. There’s a refreshing self-awareness and honesty about his demeanour that somehow feels at odds with what you’d expect from one of the most in-demand performers of today’s live music circuit.
This one was a lot of fun and we’re incredibly grateful Elliot gave us so much of his time while in New Zealand.
