E81 | Mark Richardson
Episode summary | Mark Richardson
Mark Richardson was a Black Caps test opener, who has gone on to become one of New Zealand’s most sought after broadcasters.
After grafting his way onto the international cricket scene by reinventing himself from a left-arm spinner to a laser focussed opening bat, Richardson rose to cult status with a series of memorable moments on and off the pitch.
He then cashed in on that profile into the commentary box where one of his TV stunts with Stephen Fleming scored him a hosting role on The Crowd Goes Wild.
From there it was onto Radio Sport, The Block, and The Project, before he landed a role on The AM Show where his opinions often made headlines.
Mark is a complex, interesting, and entertaining character and we were able to showcase some of the ‘real’ Mark Richardson in this episode.
